All good ideas are born from bike rides and beer (at least so far as we can figure anyway). Long time riding buddies Erik Tonkin (of Sellwood Cycle) and Mitchell Buck (of Dirty Fingers) hatched a grand plan to join their respective shops into a ride between Hood River, and Portland, Oregon. There would be hill climbing. There would be gravel. There would be margaritas. Such glorious margaritas.
Year one saw a ride from Portland over Lolo Pass into Hood River. Year two the route was traveled in reverse leading from Hood River over Lolo Pass into Portland. Year three attempted to circumnavigate Mt Hood and ended in dismal failure due to sudden foul weather conditions. Year four saw redemption in an epic loop and campout in White Salmon in Washington.
And still we ride on, friends in tow, beers in hand. Join us!
