Archive of the 2016 – Dirty Sellwood

The following is an archive of the 2016 Dirty Sellwood. 2017 ride information will be added as we get closer to the event.

Welcome, to the FOURTH year of the Dirty Sellwood! A road/gravel ride created by the great folks at Dirty Fingers Bicycle Repair in Hood River, Oregon, and Sellwood Cycle Repair in Portland, Oregon.

Prepare yourselves for 107 miles of asphalt and gravel, and over 7100′ of climbing! This year’s route will be a LOOP begining and ending in an overnight private campsite. As an added bonus we’ve maliciously chosen the theme of “biker gangs” so you have THAT to look forward to.

Current rough itinerary (subject to change): We should have coffee and registration going by 7:30.  Rider meeting and course discussion at 8:30, and roll-out at 9am.  There are food/drink stops at mile 50 in Trout Lake, and mile 73 in Glenwood, the second being the official lunch stop-regroup. There will also be a mid-ride Sprint for the “Miss Whiplash” whip, and a KOM for the coveted “Finger Cup”!

View the GPS route here.

Upon returning to camp, riders can expect food, beer, a bonfire (hopefully), the musical stylings of DJ Brazil, and “Feats of Strength” competitions in strict adherence with our theme. Prizes will be awarded to the victorious, and well-costumed!

Registration will be limited, and a $40 entry fee (for camping, food, and swag). Official numbers coming soon.

Keep checking back as details will emerge the closer we get to the event
